Newbury College proudly celebrated the achievements of its T Level students at the end of last term. From T levels in Digital Support Services, Management and Administration to Building Services Engineering for Construction, this event recognised the hard work and dedication of their students completing their T Level qualifications - a significant milestone in their educational journey.
The ceremony brought together proud parents, friends, and other family members who joined staff to applaud the students' successes. Attendees were welcomed into the forum with refreshments and catering provided by the College. Staff members, including course tutors and Deputy Principal, Lee Hunt, were present to celebrate the achievements, offering heartfelt congratulations, and a retrospective of the progress and growth the students have made throughout their time at the College.
Reflecting on the significance of the occasion, Deputy Principal Lee Hunt said:
“The College became a wave 3 T level Provider in 2020. The first T levels were rolled out in 2022/23 and we have now seen our first cohort complete and celebrate their success. It was fantastic to see so many of them back in the College with their friends and family and to also acknowledge the progress we are making with our employer links. The current T level students are making excellent progress and the work-related nature of the T Level structure allows us to work closely with local businesses in providing careers not courses.”
What are T levels?
T Levels are two-year qualifications equivalent to three A Levels, combining classroom learning with practical industry placements, ensuring students develop both the knowledge and skills required for a fulfilling career. The ceremony celebrated the students' achievements, giving them their certificates as well a final send-off into the real world.
As these talented individuals take their next steps, whether into employment, university, or apprenticeships, we would like to congratulate all the students for their exceptional achievements and remind them that we are here for any future training they need as they grow and develop.
Young people looking to follow in their footsteps can apply now for T Level courses starting this September. To find out more visit newbury-college.ac.uk/tlevels
