Newbury College is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Natasha Mathias, an exceptional apprentice who has successfully passed her Level 4 Professional Accounting Apprenticeship. Natasha’s journey through Levels 2, 3, and 4 of her accounting apprenticeship has been marked by determination and hard work, setting her on a clear path to becoming a chartered accountant.
Natasha, who chose the apprenticeship route to combine practical experience with earning a wage, reflects on her decision: "I wanted to dive straight into the working world and develop my skills on the job, which I believe has given me a stronger foundation for my career in accounting." This hands-on approach has allowed her to rapidly develop within the accounting field, gaining confidence through real-world application.
Her passion for accounting stems from the perfect blend of analytical work and building relationships with clients. Natasha enjoys the problem-solving aspects of the role and takes pride in helping clients understand their financial positions. She is particularly motivated by the ever-evolving nature of the industry, with new regulations and challenges offering continual learning opportunities.
Reflecting on her apprenticeship, Natasha added: “The hands-on experience has been incredibly rewarding, and the structured training has deepened my understanding of accounting principles.” The support and mentorship she has received from professionals in the field have been instrumental in her success, boosting her confidence in handling complex tasks.
