T Level student showing around visitors

We are excited to host a very special T Level Open Event at 17:00 on Wednesday, 04 December 2024, to help young people, parents and employers to explore the next level qualifications that are reshaping education and careers.

Despite being introduced nationally in 2020, T Levels are still a mystery to some. Combining classroom learning with substantial industry experience, they provide students with the perfect blend of knowledge and practical skills to succeed in education and the workplace. Equivalent to three A Levels, T Levels open doors to university, apprenticeships, or meaningful employment.

This open event is part of T Levels Week (02 - 06 December), and for many, it’s an opportunity to finally understand what makes T Levels different – and how they prepare students for a brighter future.

Lee Hunt, Vice Principal FE and Curriculum, said: “Many people still have questions about T Levels. This event is the perfect opportunity to learn how they combine academic learning and engagement in the workplace to prepare young people for real-world success.”

For young people, T Levels bridge the gap between learning and the workplace. With 80% of time spent in the classroom and 20% on a meaningful industry placement, these qualifications deliver both the theory and hands-on experience needed to stand out. Along with their parents, they can hear how T Levels compare to A Levels and other post-16 routes from current students, educators, and employers, who will share insights and success stories.

Employers, too, are invited to discover the benefits of T Level Industry Placements. By welcoming talented, motivated young people into their businesses, employers gain fresh perspectives while helping to nurture the workforce of tomorrow. These partnerships strengthen local businesses and provide invaluable experience to students.

T Levels give employers the chance to work directly with future talent, shaping the next generation and reaping the rewards of new ideas and enthusiasm. This event is a fantastic way to explore how Industry Placements can work for your business.

The event is free and people can register online now.
