This page will guide you through the necessary steps to support you through enrolment and induction at Newbury College and University Centre Newbury (UCN). Please note: These instructions are not for Community Leisure or Study Online programmes.
Hopefully, you are reading these instructions because we have already received your application. If you haven't already applied, please visit our course explorer pages to find your perfect course.
1. Accept your Offer
Following your conversation with your programme tutor, you will receive an email confirming your offer. Please complete the 'Accept your Offer' form to ensure we reserve your space.
2. Attend enrolment
Your enrolment dates and times are based on your age, the first letter of your last name, and the subject you have applied for.

Things to bring with you on the day:
- A form of ID (Passport, National Insurance card, Birth Certificate or (Provisional) Driving Licence)
- GCSE results slip or certificates
- £15 College Subscription contribution
New Students enrolment
Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August 2026
New students are invited to enrol on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August. Applicants will be sent a specific date and time slot via text and/or email; the time allocated is based on the first letter of your last name.

Foundation Learning students
Monday 24 August
New students enrolling on our Foundation Learning programmes will be invited to enrol on Monday, 24 August, between 11:00 and 14:00.
Returning Students
Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 August 2026
Students progressing on to a new programme are invited to enrol on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 August. You will be sent a specific date and time slot via text and/or email; the time allocated is based on the first letter of your last name.

Adults (19+) enrolling on a full-time, part-time or Higher Education programme have an open invite to attend between 10:00 and 14:00 on any of the enrolment dates between 25 August and 28 August.

Things you will need:
- a form of ID (Driving Licence, Passport, National Insurance card or Birth Certificate)

- evidence of previous qualifications (if you did not study at Newbury College last year)
- evidence of your loan application (if you are paying tuition fees with a loan)
- a completed Purchase Order form and Employer Authorisation Form (if your employer is paying your fees)

3. Attend Welcome Week
Wednesday 2 - Friday 4 September
Welcome Week runs from Wednesday 2 to Friday 4 September. All students, including returners, are expected to attend throughout the three days.

Bursary
A bursary can be awarded to students who meet eligibility criteria. Bursary application forms will be available from the end of July.

Free Meals
Applications for free meals should be made using the bursary form. Eligible students will have a meal allowance of £2.58 for each day that they are in college with which to purchase food in the Street Café.

Travel Support

Recipients of the bursary can receive support for travel.

Free parking is available onsite for students, staff and visitors.
