Volunteering enriches recipients, you, and society at large. By volunteering at Newbury College, you can contribute to the achievements of our students, helping them to succeed.
It isn't all selfless giving, either. There are plenty of ways that volunteering can help you grow as a person and enrich your educational and career opportunities.
How you can help
Most volunteers work in classes, under the guidance of a teacher, or one-to-one with individual students. We also welcome volunteers to support other areas of our operations, including marketing and promotion, or supporting enrichment activities.
Where we need your help
English and Maths are the key areas that we need volunteers in, and you will work with both adults and young people to help them improve their reading, writing, maths, or spoken English if it is their second language. If you have other skills that can support another curriculum or business support area, we are also happy to consider these.
When you can help
Classes are held in the daytime or evening. We will discuss your availability with you when you apply.
