Careers
not courses

Our career-based curriculum is led by employers and designed to give you the best opportunities to gain the qualifications and skills you need for the career you want. We are preparing students for the workplace of tomorrow, creating a fully-immersive learning environment that blends hands-on, technical learning with underpinning knowledge and professional work related activity.

Career-focused education programmes are great for school leavers who want a more hands-on approach, especially if they know what industry they want to move into. If you want to work in health care, logistics, engineering or digital technology, for example, then a BTEC or T-Level could be better for your career progression than A-Levels, combining practical learning with subject and theory content.

We involve our business partners in many aspects of our curriculum planning and delivery to ensure these programmes meet the needs of employers and job sectors. This means that students develop the skills and knowledge that employers want – increasing their employability and likelihood of finding a job after completing their studies.

College offers virtual guided tours this open day

We understand that it is currently difficult for young people to visit colleges and sixth forms to explore their options, so we have created a special virtual tour of their fantastic facilities. The virtual tour uses 360° photos with audio narration and sound effects to give visitors as realistic experience as possible while remaining safely in their own homes. Featuring highlights from across the College’s vocational curriculum areas, including workshops, salons, kitchens and IT suites, the team here hope that the tour will allow prospective students to familiarise themselves with the campus and learn more about the career pathways that are available to them. The tour forms part of the College’s upcoming Virtual Open Event, in which prospective students will be able to book individual, one-to-one discussions with tutors and careers advisers via an online booking system. Marketing Manager, Naomi Cripps, said: “We are constantly looking for new ways to engage with prospective students and...
