Careers
not courses
Our career-based curriculum is led by employers and designed to give you the best opportunities to gain the qualifications and skills you need for the career you want. We are preparing students for the workplace of tomorrow and supporting students in the workplace of today, creating a fully-immersive learning environment that blends hands-on, technical learning with underpinning knowledge and professional work-related activity.
School Leavers
Career-focused education programmes are great for school leavers who want a more hands-on approach, especially if they know what industry they want to move into. If you want to work in health care, logistics, engineering or digital technology, for example, then a BTEC, T-Level or Apprenticeship could be better for your career progression than A-Levels, combining practical learning with subject and theory content.
University Level Education
University Centre Newbury (UCN), which opened in September 2020, is our higher education provision. Supported by key investments from local business and other foundation partners, UCN provides a solution for the community that sees an expansion of the current higher education provision enabling more opportunities for young talent to remain in the area and study university-level qualifications alongside their chosen career.
Students enrolling with us will be able to build upon their professional development up to postgraduate qualifications, through partnerships with Bucks New University and the University of Reading without the need to relocate. We also offer a huge array of flexible learning options to suit the needs of businesses and the community.
Supporting Business
Our business partnerships are fundamental in developing and contributing to the curriculum planning and delivery of our programmes ensuring they meet the needs of employers and industry sectors. This means that students develop the skills and knowledge that employers want – increasing their employability and likelihood of finding a job after completing their studies.
