Newbury College students get hands on experience

Newbury College T Level Media, Broadcast and Production students have taken their creativity from the classroom to one of the UK’s leading media organisations during an inspiring visit to Sky’s headquarters in Osterley, London.

The students were invited to Sky Up Academy Studios, where they worked with industry-standard technology to create their own short films and TV trailers. The experience gave them access to green screens, broadcast-quality cameras, touchscreen edit tables and expert support from Sky’s media professionals.

During the visit, students took on real production roles, including presenting, producing, editing and camera operation. They also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of Sky Studios, giving them a valuable insight into how television and digital content is made.
