Behaviour
Do not use inappropriate behaviour or language at any time.
Indentification
All visitors must sign in and out at Reception. You must wear your ID badge at all times.
Online safety
Use online services and social media responsibly. Do not share photos taken on campus without permission.
Lone working
Follow the appropriate guidelines for lone working and avoid situations where you may be alone with a student.
Physical contact
Avoid physical contact with any students and respect professional boundaries.
Photography
Never take photos or videos of students or other people without explicit consent.
If you observe a student in distress or have a concern, contact a member of the Safeguarding Team or Reception immediately.
Room hire
All hirers must sign in and out at College reception. The lead hirer is responsible for escorting attendees to and from reception for sign-in and sign-out at the end of the hire. For those using the Forum, Restaurant, or Sports Hall, must use the QR code at the entrance.
The college is committed to ensuring the safeguarding of its students. It is a requirement that hirers adhere to the college’s safeguarding policies. Any failure to comply will result in the termination of the hire agreement.
The hirer must ensure that if any safeguarding concerns arise during the hire of the college premises, they will contact safeguarding@newbury-college.ac.uk and Jatinder Matharu at j-matharu@newbury-college.ac.uk as soon as reasonably practicable to confirm that appropriate referrals have been made to the relevant external services.
