Newbury College is proud to congratulate Ryan Cullen on his successful completion of the T Level in Building Services Engineering (Plumbing) and his next career milestone—beginning a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Plumbing & Domestic Heating.
Despite living closer to Reading, Ryan chose to study at Newbury College due to its excellent facilities. He gained invaluable real-world experience during his T Level, completing a work placement at a construction site in Reading, where he assisted with pipe fitting for gas heating and hot water supplies at a new school academy. This hands-on opportunity allowed Ryan to deepen his understanding of large-scale building services and develop vital skills for his future career.
Reflecting on his placement, Ryan highlighted the significance of working on a local project: "The fact that I was working on something local that will still be there for years to come" was a memorable part of his experience. His time on site has also shaped his career aspirations, giving him insight into various career paths within the construction industry.
Ryan will now continue his journey, having secured a new role as an apprentice with All Plumbing Services, where he will further develop his qualifications and expertise in the sector.
