Last term, students in our art department worked with renowned art suppliers, Daler-Rowney. The students were commissioned to create work based on a theme of deconstruct/reconstruct', working with subject matters relating to tools, music and collections.
The students attended a series of workshops and explored a variety of media, techniques and processes, producing a range of artwork and samples. These were sent off to Daler-Rowney for evaluation and three students were selected for awards.
The winners were Evelyn Pritchett (Level 2 student), Maddy Hunt (Subsidiary Diploma student) and Thomas Ebsworth (Extended Diploma student). All were awarded a collection of Daler-Rowney art materials.
Course leader, Sarah Whittam, said: The students responded very well to the brief, creating some stunning artwork. All the students were commended by the Daler-Rowney team for their hard work, commenting that it was a hard decision to select the winners.
