Two Newbury College IT students have recently finished updating a patient information point (PIP) database at West Berks Hospital in Thatcham. Students, Kamil Pilecki and Przemyslaw Budzynski, started working on the project during their five-day work placement, but were determined to see the project through to completion.
Peter Broughton, volunteer at West Berkshire Hospital, said: We asked Kamil and Przem to help replace the PIP survey as part of their work placement. They rose to the challenge and went above and beyond what was expected of them, carrying on with the project long after they had to. The new survey has been loaded onto our computers and is undergoing trials before its operational. We'd like to thank them for their hard work and we wish them all the best for the future.
Both students are moving on to Southampton University in September to continue their IT studies.
