Newbury College was once again pleased to host the Education Business Partnership (EBP) Destinations Expo for 2025, a focused careers fair for young people in and around West Berkshire. The event brought students from local schools and employers for clear, practical conversations about work, skills, and next steps.
These inspiring employers promoted the roles available in the local economy. They were supported by Newbury College, which explained entry routes and highlighted apprenticeships, T-Levels, and vocational programmes that could help students achieve their aspirations. Students were able to ask direct questions, try activities, and get information to help them make informed choices that meet future skills needs.
Alongside local business representatives, Lee Dillon, MP for Newbury, attended and spent time with exhibitors and students. His engagement reinforced his strong support for the skills delivered by the College, and showed how education, employers and elected representatives are working together to grow the local economy.
We continue to engage with young school leavers at our upcoming Open Event to ensure young people and adults gain the confidence and information they need to take their next steps and develop sustainable careers.
