Students playing football

Newbury College and Soccer Assist Academy are delighted to announce a new partnership that builds on the relationship the College has formed with Procision Football Academy. The aim is to increase the opportunities for students who are looking to enter the football and sports industries, providing excellent resources for aspiring and energetic young athletes.

Lee Hunt, Vice Principal, Newbury College, commented: “Working in partnership with organisations such as Soccer Assist Academy enhances the opportunities for students across the country to focus on careers, not courses.

“It is important that we work together with specialist organisations to expand skillsets and link emerging young talent with employers from the world of sport and recreation to develop their employability skills and embed their knowledge.”

The programme delivers a comprehensive insight across two years, developing knowledge and understanding in areas such as Sports Coaching, Anatomy and Physiology, Fitness Testing and Training, Sports Nutrition, Analysis of Sports Performance, Sports Injuries, Sports Massage, Sports Psychology and more.

Soccer Assist Academy Director, Junior Osei-Tutu, praised the new partnership:
“I am so excited to be working with Newbury College as our education provider. I know Newbury will be more than just a provider and will assist us in achieving our vision and enable the academy to cater to a wider range of individuals within the community. We can’t wait to see our students succeed not only on the field but in the classroom too.”
