On Friday 10th June, Newbury College students took part in an U19 Beach Rugby Tournament held on West Wittering Beach near Chichester. Fully supported by the RFU, this national competition involved schools and colleges playing games of five-a-side touch rugby on the beach.
Course Leader for Sport, James Ross, said: Despite never playing this game together before, our team did very well. We won three games, lost three games and drew once ' a testament to some excellent teamwork and individual brilliance. With good camaraderie displayed throughout the tournament, an excellent day was had by all.
