University Centre Newbury (UCN) is offering a new opportunity for management professionals to access higher education and degrees with a BA (Hons) programme.
The BA (Hons) Management programme provides professionals looking to upskill and climb the corporate ladder with a broad range of management skills across various business disciplines.
University Centre Newbury has partnered with University of Northampton to allow students to achieve their degree locally and gain an understanding of the theory, principles and practice of management to take into their management career.
The three-year programme is ideal for those seeking a career as a General / Operations Manager or developing a career in a specialist management function such as Finance, Marketing or Human Resources.
Programme Leader, Helen Andrews, whose background is in Human Resource Management and Business Consultancy, said: “I am excited to bring this programme to the University Centre in September. It offers local people who are interested in obtaining a degree qualification with an opportunity to develop skills and confidence for future employment prospects as managers in a wide range of organisations.
“Myself and the other tutors on the programme come from industry and we are passionate about enabling our students to get the most out of the experience, with a strong focus on employability and preparing them for careers in a wide range of sectors.”
Working with the Chartered Management Institute, degree programme graduates will not only gain a Management Degree, but also get accreditation as a Chartered Manager, opening the doors to many opportunities in different industries.
The degree expands Newbury College and UCN’s portfolio of existing business-focussed programmes, including full and part-time programmes in Business, Administration, Accountancy, Customer Service, Leadership and Management.
