Shelly Van Meter

 

Shelly Van Meter is a proactive education leader whose management skills and academic knowledge are shaped by a diverse interaction of professional and educational experiences that enhance and successfully drive forward initiatives.  

Following the achievement of a BA (Hons) in Political Science and English Literature at Marshall University (USA), Shelly then lived in Slovakia and China teaching ESOL before settling in the UK where she attained an MSc in Education, Policy and Society (King’s College London).  

With 20+ years experience of working in education, Shelly is a passionate leader and manager of provision across further education, foundation degrees, undergraduate degrees and postgraduate degrees. With a particular focus on the needs of employers, Shelly has managed subject areas that include engineering, digital, management, education and health and social care, successfully enabling employers to develop their workforce.

Driven to create opportunities to build collaborative relationships and sustainable partnerships, Shelly aims to meet local and regional skills needs through responsive and innovative curricula and inspirational learning environments.
