Over 12 insightful weeks, you will cover the key theory and practical skills to give you the tools to understand and apply AI effectively, including:

• Machine vs. Deep Learning: Learn the differences between these approaches and their applications.
• EU AI Act, UK AI Framework and White Papers: Gain insight into the latest regulatory developments and their impact on AI.
• System Problem and Modelling: Explore how to frame and model real-world problems for AI solutions.
• Data Ethics and Integrity: Delve into the ethical considerations, legislation, and compliance requirements surrounding AI.
• Data Preparation, Cleaning, and Visualisation: Master techniques for handling and interpreting data effectively.
• Introduction to Python Programming: Get hands-on with Python, a foundational tool for AI development.
• Supervised Learning Fundamentals: Understand key concepts and approaches in supervised learning.
• Evaluating Model Performance: Learn how to measure and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of AI models.

You will also work on a project to design and optimise a complete AI model, showcasing your ability to evaluate its performance and refine its effectiveness.

No prior experience in AI is required. A basic understanding of digital technology and/or engineering principles, combined with an enthusiasm for learning, will help you thrive in this programme.

Project work and additional study activities will be delivered through online platforms. To fully engage with the programme, please ensure you have reliable internet access and a suitable device, such as a PC or laptop.

This is a non-accredited programme. You will receive a UCN Certificate of Completion upon successfully achieving the objectives of the programme..

This programme does not require a work placement, nor do you need to be in relevant employment. However, you may find it beneficial to explore how AI concepts and tools can be applied to your current or future workplace.

The fees for this programme are £600. There are no additional costs for the programme. However, you may choose to subscribe to third-party AI platforms and services recommended by the tutor. While these are optional and not required to participate in the programme, they may enhance your learning experience and support your development.
