This programme for adults aged 19+ enables an opportunity to upskill or retrain part-time for two evenings a week at college. You will learn a range of theory and practical skills to aid you in achieving your Level 3 qualification.

  • Entry Requirements

    Level 2 qualification in electrical installation is preferred, as well as a good level of maths and English. This will be assessed at interview.

    A basic understanding of electrical theory preferably gained at level 2. Use of basic tools and some hand skills would be useful.

  • Qualification

    EAL Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Electrical Installation

  • Progression

    From this course you will be required to complete and NVQ and your AM2 to become a fully qualified electrician.

  • Assessment

    The course is assessed by online exams, assignments and practical work.

  • Home Study

    You are expected to carry out some self study, typically six hours per week, and are expected to complete any work that has not been completed during lesson times. Additional homework may be set.

  • Work Placement

    There is no work experience within this qualification.

  • Fees and Additional Costs

    Additional costs may be required for the industry specific text books. Details will be given at interview. Students are required to purchase safety boots to be worn during workshop based lessons.
