Quote
I was one of the original students in 1948. While still a pupil in the sixth form at Newbury Girls Grammar School, I spent one morning a week in the Technical Drawing Class in Ormond House, this was because I wanted a career in either Architecture or Engineering.
I became an apprentice with a local engineering firm and continued at Newbury College to do some preliminary exams before going to Reading College to study for my HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
After a career in the engineering industry, I taught Technical Drawing at Park House School and Engineering Drawing at Newbury College, I also illustrated a technical drawing book for McMillan.
