Skills Partners Workshop

Join us for our Skills Partners Workshop at Newbury College, a practical and collaborative session for employers across West Berkshire to help shape the future of skills in our region.

This event brings together local employers and College staff to explore current and future workforce needs, identify priority skills gaps, and discuss how education and training can better support businesses, students, apprentices, and employees.

Whether you already work with us or are looking to connect for the first time, this workshop is an opportunity to share your perspective and help influence future learning and development across the area.

What we’ll cover
  • Priority skills needs and where demand is growing or changing
  • Our current curriculum: what to keep, add, or improve
  • Practical actions including employer input into teaching, placements, apprenticeships, and training routes
  • Early planning for future skills delivery across the region
Agenda
  • 10:00 – 10:15 Welcome
  • 10:15 – 12:30 Employer curriculum workshop
  • 12:30 – 13:30 Lunch provided by our catering students

The event will close with a two-course lunch in The Restaurant at Newbury College, offering additional time to network with fellow employers and College staff.
