Golf Academy (Procision Oxford) Level 3 Diploma
Offered in partnership with Procision Sports Academy this Golf focused programme combines a flexible academic study programme alongside professional coaching for passionate golfers. The programme maximises the opportunity for students to enhance and develop potential golfing pathways whilst securing academic and coaching qualifications. You'll have coached golf lessons from the PGA Professionals weekly, as well as tailored gym sessions, and competition days. We are partnered with Frilford Heath golf club, where all sessions and rounds take place. Frilford Heath is an amazing 3-course facility with multiple practice areas. You will also have an opportunity to compete on the AOC Intercollegiate Tour, aiming to qualify for the national finals.

The programme will provide an opportunity for you develop your knowledge and practical golfing and coaching skills covering areas such as:

- Anatomy and Physiology
- Fitness Testing and Training
- Sports Nutrition
- Analysis of Sports Performance
- Sports Injuries
- Sports Massage
- Sports Psychology and many more.

Entry Requirements
You'll need to have five GCSE passes at grade 4 or above. Ideally these passes will include English and maths however we can support you to continue to study these alongside your Golf programme if you haven't yet attained a 4.
You need to have the love of golf - all areas of the course are geared towards golf to help you understand and broaden your knowledge.

Qualification
Depending on your entry level you will study towards: NCFE Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity or NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Fitness Instructing & Physical Activity

Progression
You are able to progress from the Level 3 Extended Diploma after the 2 years with us. We are linked with Study and Play America, who help provide our students with the best international scholarship opportunities. We offer a Level 4 HNC programme that is a natural progression for our students. This is in Sports Coaching and it can progress up to a full Degree qualification.

Assessment
You will be assessed by a mixture of assessment methods such as practical demonstrations, written reports, PowerPoint presentations, Video analysis and short answer questions.

Home Study
You will have work to complete each week based on the topic in class. You may also have work to complete each week for maths and English if you are continuing to study these alongside your main programme.

Work Placement
While studying with us you will gain the skills and qualities that will separate you from others. You will be working closely with the PGA Professionals at Frilford Heath, so you will see closely how a Golf club works. There will also be potential work experience opportunities in different areas of the Golf club.

Fees and Additional Costs
As part of the course, you are required to purchase the Golf kit. This is the only cost of the course - your course leader will provide details prior to enrolment.
