  • Description

    The course runs for one academic year, delivered full-time in a blended format at University Centre Newbury (UCN) in partnership with Bournemouth University. You will complete 120 Level 6 credits across five core units.

    • Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Sport (20 credits)

    You will benefit from a curriculum aligned with Bournemouth University's strategic values of inclusivity, ethical practice, and industry engagement. Although the course does not include a formal placement, you will engage with local sport clubs, community groups, and elite organisations through assessments and co-curricular opportunities.

  • Entry Requirements

    To join this programme, you will need to have completed an FdSc or HND with a Pass in a relevant sport discipline. Applications from mature learners without these qualifications are welcome and will be considered based on an interview and submission of a relevant CV.

  • Qualification

  • Assessment

    You will be assessed through a variety of coursework formats including:

  • Home Study

    Expect around 200 independent study hours per 20-credit unit, including seminar preparation, research and assessment work. All assignments are submitted via the online learning platform. You will need reliable access to a computer and the internet.

  • Work Placement

    While there is no formal placement, the programme provides co-curricular and assessment-based engagement with sports industry partners, including community sport organisations and elite clubs such as AFC Bournemouth.

  • Fees and Additional Costs

    The tuition fee for this programme is £9,535 per year.

    At times, you may be offered the opportunity to visit industries and shows, which may require additional entrance fees and costs. There is an annual student association fee of £15 that is also payable.
