Flexible, free* and funded by Government
If you prefer the flexibility of learning from your own home, workplace or even on the go, we offer a range of courses that are perfect for you.
Free Study Online courses are available across many areas of England, subject to qualifying criteria.
These flexible courses lead to recognised qualifications and are available throughout the year, enabling you to choose when you wish to study and allow you to study at your own pace. You are supported by your personal tutor on a one-to-one basis throughout your course.
Our Study Online courses and learning materials are accessible through our interactive learning platform where you can also communicate with your tutor and submit assignments online, for faster feedback.
“I wanted to know more about mental health in children and young people, from a workplace point of view and because I have a teenage daughter with mental health difficulties. I have studied the Understanding Autism course before through Newbury College and found that studying through distance learning is perfect for me.”
Elizabeth Curtis, Understanding Children & Young People’s Mental Health
“I work with young people who have learning disabilities and I wanted to learn more about this in order to have a better understanding of the role I am doing.”
Erika Stoddart, Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia)
“There was a lot of interesting content that has helped me make better nutritional choices. It has also enabled me to help other friends and family to create basic nutritional plans.”
Mark McGuire, Understanding Nutrition & Health
“I use the skills everyday in my work setting. I am considering, in the future, carrying on with my training and possibly taking a counselling degree.”
Anne Platt, Counselling Skills
“I enjoyed learning in greater depth about Specific Learning Difficulties and how I can support individuals in my current role as a personal learning coach.”
Kate Gordon, Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia)
