Engineering Apprentice, Leo Delaney, is showcasing Newbury College’s “careers not courses” ethos on an international stage after helping to build and install specialist engineering machinery for Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies (CWST) in Sweden.

At Newbury College and University Centre Newbury (UCN) we have celebrated another successful year of apprenticeships with our annual Apprenticeship Awards, recognising the people and businesses powering skills and careers across the community during National Apprenticeship Week (09–15 February 2026).
Newbury College celebrates another year of outstanding results for our degree apprenticeships, with 100% achievement. Overall, our apprenticeship achievement is 6% above National Average.
