    This course operates using a blended learning approach, where part, orall ofsome units may be delivered online, via a virtual learning environment. To participate in this programme, you will need a suitable computer and/or device with sufficient internet access. Specific requirements and information on the support available to borrow or purchase equipment can be discussed at interview.

  • Entry Requirements

    You must have completed an HNC in Sport and Exercise Science (Coaching Science). Depending on existing qualifications, you may be required to complete additional top-up units to ensure they meet Pearson BTEC requirements.

    You should be familiar with basic computer functions and applications including Microsoft Windows and Office. Parts of your programme will be delivered using Microsoft Teams. Training for this application will be provided.

    If English is not your first language, a minimum IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent) is required.

    You will require the ability to work independently in self-directed study as well as research skills.   • Progression

    Students who successfully complete this qualification can enter employment, continue existing employment, move onto a relevant course at Level 6 or commit to continuing professional development.

  • Assessment

    You will be assessed continually throughout the course, normally via written assignments, observations, presentations practical activities andreflectivelogbooks.

  • Home Study

    You areexpected to work independently and proactively to prepare for class and undertake written assignmentsin your own time, allocating approximately four hours a week on research andself-studyoutside of normal class timein order tobuild up knowledge and confidence and successfully complete the programme.

  • Work Placement

    The course involved a work placement unit. On successful completion of the unit, you will have gained a number of employability skills such as time management, communication and interpersonal skills and task prioritisation.

  • Fees and Additional Costs

    The tuition fee for this programme is £ 6,000 per year. In addition to the tuition fee, an awarding body registration fee (set by the awarding body) and an annual student association fee of £15 are payable. At times, you may be offered the opportunity to visit exhibitions and shows, which may require additional entrance fees and travel costs.
