Dry Point Printing - Recycled Tetra Pak
This course is an introduction to the intaglio printing process of dry point. During the workshop, learners will explore etching and cutting a simple design into the surface of a tetra pak.

Description
This course is an introduction to the intaglio printing process of dry point. During the workshop, learners will explore etching and cutting a simple design into the surface of a tetra pak (basically a milk or fruit juice carton which is opened out and used as a printing surface), they will be amazed at the versatility of this recycled material as they learn how to manipulate it to create a range of tone and textural affects. They will learn how to correctly ink the plate up and run it through our printing press to create stunning results. Learner will created a limited a set of 8 limited prints.
*PLEASE NOTE - The running of this course is subject to receiving sufficient enrolment numbers. Newbury College reserve the right to close, cancel or postpone a course if it has not received the minimum required enrolment number by the scheduled start date. In the case of cancellation, enrolled learners will be notified 3 days prior to the start of the course and are entitled to claim for a full refund of their course fees.

Learners' work will be assessed by the tutor throughout the workshop and progress will be discussed with each learner.

Fee information
14 - 18 year olds
In most cases students aged 14-18 years old on a substantial study programme will NOT be required to pay fees and most course-specific equipment and materials will be funded by the College. This excludes stationary, non-curriculum trips and a £15 enrichment fee.
19 years and over
Students aged 19 years and over may be required to pay fees. For details of fee remission and loans for students over the age of 19 click here.
